Forex Factory Alert is a free tool that provides automatic alerts for high-impact economic news. You can activate this tool directly on your trading server. By default, this service runs automatically on your trading server in a very simple way. You only need to configure the Webhook API that we have provided and set your preferred alert interval (in hours).
Below are the simple steps to set up economic news calendar alerts on your trading server:
1. Connect to your trading server using Remote Desktop Connection.
2. Open the folder MENU located on your server desktop.
3. Navigate to the folder TRADING TOOLS > Forex Factory Alert.
4. In this folder you will find several important files required to activate the alert service:
a. Open the shortcut file setup_webhook_api_url and enter your Webhook API URL.
b. Open the shortcut file setInterval and enter the alert interval before the news release. The default alert interval is 1 (1 hour = 60 minutes). The input format is in hours. For example, if you want to receive an alert 30 minutes before the release, enter 0.5, which means half an hour (30 minutes).
c. After completing steps a and b, test the alert delivery by double-clicking the application ffa-tester.exe.
d. Check your device. The test alert will be sent to your WhatsApp / Telegram / Email according to the Webhook API configuration used when you ordered the server. The test alert message will be: Forex Factory Alert is configured with an interval of 1 hour(s) (60 minutes).
5. As the final step, verify the system status (still inside the folder TRADING TOOLS > Forex Factory Alert):
a. Open the shortcut file lastUpdate to check the latest news calendar update in the server system. This ensures that the system has the most recent economic calendar data. Your trading server will automatically update the news calendar regularly.
b. Open the shortcut file status to view the status of the test message delivery that you have just performed.
Additional Menu:
STOP ForexFactoryNewsService – Stops the economic news alert service.
START ForexFactoryNewsService – Starts the economic news alert service again if it has been stopped.

You will receive a notification or reminder based on the configured interval (setInterval) before a high-impact news release. The alert can be delivered through WhatsApp, Telegram, or Email depending on your Webhook API configuration. You may request our CS team to send alerts to one or all of these destinations.
